South Brisbane, Queensland

Brent has worked with a diverse range of complex and challenging children and young people in the Victoria and Queensland child protection systems and alternative education programs for more than 20 years. Before starting MySUMMIT, Brent has honed his skills and knowledge in range of roles from a youth worker to his last role as the Program & Practice Manager for all services for one of the largest Out of Home Care providers in Queensland.

Brent established strong partnerships and relationships both internally and externally and is a strong communicator as well as advocate. Brent is renowned for his integrity and clear, strong leadership.

Brent is a highly motivated practitioner who thrives when working with vulnerable children and young people who are shackled by their past trauma from living a fulfilling and adventurous life. Some of Brent’s fondest memories and motivators stem from when ex-young people have reconnected years later to share the achievements and reminisce on the challenges they over came.

Brent's calm competence and solid dependency made him a favourite with the young people he worked with.
